Euphorbia Milii, the Crown of Thorns
Dear Friends,
I present you the photographs of the beautiful Euphorbia Milii flower.
The world knows about the roses, the lotus, the lily… I wonder why Euphorbia Milii isn’t as famous as these flowers. May be it is famous and I am not aware about this gorgeous flower? Is it time for me to get back to botany/horticulture study?
The Euphorbia plant is full of thorns, no wonder why it is know by many names, all associated with the Christ.
- Crown of Thorns
- Christ Plant
- Christ Thorn
The first time I saw this plant was in my neighbor’s house. The first photograph in this post was captured there. I happened to visit the Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, nursery section. There were plenty of Euphorbia Milii plants on sale. The other three photographs were taken in Lalbagh.
Did you like the photographs? Which one did you like the most?
Not a botany enthusiast, but these are lovely. The relation to Christ was interesting to know. And not sure asking for a favorite out of these is a fair question. They all are very nice 🙂
